Australian NFL veteran Ben Graham has ditched his back-the-favourite formula to predict the Los Angeles Chargers will win Super Bowl LVII over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Chargers narrowly missed the playoffs last season despite starting with four wins in their first five games – but Graham says he “can’t see why they can’t” win it all this year behind Pro Bowl quarterback Justin Herbert.

“They fizzled out at the end of last season and they had their excuses, but this team is ready to go,” he said on Channel 7’s NFL Armchair Experts.
“This team, this quarterback, these wide receivers and this defence, it’s the complete package. Justin Herbert will be the Super Bowl MVP and I can’t wait to watch the Chargers.
“They play an exciting brand of football, Austin Ekeler is a top-five running back. Something has to go massively wrong if they don’t get that far.”
The Chargers have it all to do just to get out of the AFC West, with the Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos rounding out the best division in the league.
“That’s the challenge with such a good division,” Graham said.
“Those that don’t rate the division and the conference setup in the NFL, here’s a case where all four teams could be good enough to make the playoffs.
“They’re going to play each other twice, which is going to make it tough, but we could see three of these teams make the playoffs.”
Kansas City are gunning to win the AFC East for a seventh straight year despite wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s departure to the Miami Dolphins.
“I think this might help him,” Graham said.
“It’ll help him not thinking that he has to be the answer and get the ball down the field all the time. I don’t think all’s lost just because they lose one player, but they have some holes on their roster.
“Defensively they let through a lot of scores last year, they’re the big question mark in this division given how good they’ve been.”
He says the Broncos are the smokey of the division in the wake of Russell Wilson’s arrival.
