Spin king Shane died of natural causes in Thailand on March 4, aged 52, prompting an international outpouring of grief.

“This was the last photo we ever took together. 24.2.2022. Doing something that we both loved. Playing poker,” Jackson captioned the selfie showing him and his dad smiling.

“Miss ya mate. Happy Father’s Day.”

Among those showing their support for the tribute were fellow cricketers Michael Clarke and Michael Vaughan.

SAS Australia host Ant Middleton also shared a message.

“Awesome photo! I miss chatting with your dad but now it’s time to put all your memories together and fill his void (that he’s left in your life) with positivity (all your awesome memories) and by using what he taught you to be a good man,” Middleton wrote.

“He was so proud of you so keep doing good in your life to carry on his legacy. Stay strong Jackson and I’ll see you in November.”

In July, Jackson travelled to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker tournament – taking home an impressive $A130,000 in winnings,

Jackson had previously made a vow to make his dad proud.

“This [2022] trip was meant to be the first time playing at the WSOP main event with my best friend and dad,” he shared to social media.

‘Missing you so much and wish you were here playing with me.

“I’ll make you proud and get the $.”

Jackson later revealed he’d reached the “pinnacle of poker”, netting $US83,900 in just one day.

“Thought I’d be a lot more nervous than I was but got comfortable pretty quickly,” he shared.

“Thankyou everyone for the messages!”

Jackson’s mum Simone Callahan posted her congratulations, writing: “Awesome friend! So happy and so proud of you!”

Shane’s former flame Liz Hurley also shared her congratulations on the wine.

“Well done, Cub xxx,” she wrote – to which Jackson responded with two love heart face emojis.

Jackson revealed in a 2020 interview that he’d been playing poker since he was a kid, taught by his poker-mad dad.

The poker-playing began when the family was on long-haul flights and needed to pass the time.

“I enjoy it now. I’m not professional, but one day, I’m trying to be,” he said.

Jackson’s sister Brooke also took to Instagram to share a tribute to her dad on Father’s Day, noting the occasion marked six months since Shane’s passing.

“Six Months today since we lost our Dad. Happy Father’s Day to the Best Dad on Earth and in Heaven,” Brooke wrote.

“Today is for you Dad. You are our shining Star and forever will be. All my friends and other people who find Fathers Day just as hard, you are in my thoughts.“I Miss you everyday Dad, I will Love you Forever. Missing your Dad hugs extra today.”
