It has been confirmed that attacking midfielder Marcelo Flores will spend the 2022/23 season on loan with Real Oviedo.
Reports suggest the Spanish second-tier outfit, who are majority owned by Mexican company Grupo Pachuca, beat off competition from a host of clubs on the continent for the 18-year-old’s signature.

While Flores is yet to make his senior debut for Arsenal – the closest he’s come was a place on the bench for the 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace in April – he has already been capped three times by Mexico and is tipped to be part of their squad for this winter’s World Cup.
Flores joined Arsenal from Ipswich Town two years ago and has been a regular at under-18 and under-23 level. Hopefully, he settles in quickly at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere, he has a huge six months ahead.
