Spanish second tier outfit Real Oviedo have confirmed their interest in signing Arsenal youngster Marcelo Flores on loan for the season.
In an interview with ESPN Mexico (translated by Sport Witness), club president Martin Pelaez confirmed that negotiations with the Gunners for the Mexico international were underway.
“Any club, not from Mexico, from the world would like him, he said.
“His name impresses and it is not easy. He can give any team his talent, he is very young, but very talented and you can see that he is a winner and must add talent and willingness.”
Flores had been tipped to be part of the Gunners’ US tour squad but was left at home by Mikel Arteta who opted to select a squad made up predominantly of senior stars.
In recent weeks there have been rumours that Miguel Azeez could also move to Spain. Girona were thought to have made an offer to the midfielder, who last season spent time with Portsmouth.
So far this summer, eight Gunners have been sent out on loan to gain further experience.
