George Onyx Kyrgios was born two weeks early at Mater Mothers Hospital in Brisbane on June 29, weighing in at 2.98kg.

Dad Christos is a sports coach and the part-time CEO of his younger brother’s NK Foundation, which aims to offer sporting opportunities to underprivileged young people.

His fiancé Alicia, a sports nutritionist and three-time world champion fitness model, said the family was enjoying the “baby bubble” after bringing George home from hospital.

She said Christos managed to make new fatherhood look easy by burping baby George at hospital while watching the fiery Wimbledon encounter between Nick and Stefanos Tsitsipas on Sunday.

It’s the couple’s first child, with Alicia revealing they had been trying for a while.

“It took a long time for George to be here, so we are over the moon,” she said.

“For now, it’s all about nesting and enjoying this time together.”

A “very excited” Nick and his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi have already “met” baby George via FaceTime, Christos revealed.

“Nick and family have been bombarded by photos of George and we are looking forward to him meeting everyone soon,” Christos said.

“Nick thinks George is absolutely gorgeous and loves how much hair he has and thinks he is the cutest thing.”

Christos said there was no doubt George would grow up to be a tennis fanatic.

“He’ll love tennis, but we’ll be putting racquets, balls, bats and all sports equipment in front of him to choose which sport he wants to play,” Christos said.

Following the family’s Greek tradition, George has been named after his grandfather, Giorgos Kyrgios, who is at Wimbledon with Nick and Costeen.

Nick Kyrgios has been dating Costeen Hatzi since December last year.

The couple frequently post loved-up tributes to each other on social media, with Nick telling an interviewer in January that Costeen made him “really, really happy.”

“Honestly. It’s a vibe. Good energy,” he said.

“The vibes are always good there. You know my team at the moment, I have never felt this clear.

“Mentally I feel so happy. I am romantic. I will do anything for love.”

However, on Tuesday it emerged Kyrgios will play his Wimbledon quarter-final with a court appearance pending back in Australia.

The tennis star has been summonsed to face the ACT Magistrates Court on August 2 in relation to a charge of common assault.

It’s reported the alleged assault involved a former girlfriend.
